About Dr Sara
Dr Alan Sara is a highly experienced Ophthalmologist/Eye Surgeon who completed his training and obtained qualifications at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town in 2006. He then spent time at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, UK doing further training in medical and surgical retinal diseases.
While Dr Sara is proficient in general ophthalmology, his expertise lies particularly in cataract and ocular plastic surgery. Additionally, he has a special focus on the medical management of various eye conditions including Age-Related Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Eye Disease, Glaucoma, and inflammatory conditions affecting the eye.
